海軍戰鬥系統工廠前身為海軍第一造船廠之「兵器系統中心」，負責海軍各型傳統武 器之保修任務，其後因精裝、海叢等專案工程執行暨配合武進一、二號工程規劃，另成立 「武進工程處」俾統合各專業人員執行專案工作。 民國六十九年八月奉令武進工程處改制 成立「海軍飛彈工廠」，復於七十二年將兵器系統中心含其所屬工場全部併入飛彈工廠， 同時廠長提升為少將編階，此時飛彈工廠已完成全軍主要兵器裝備修護整合，民國七十三 年更名為「海軍兵器工廠」，為配合國軍「精實案」政策實施，奉令於民國八十八年七月 一日起將「海軍兵器工廠」、海軍第一造船廠「電子中心」及海二、三、四、五廠之「電 子場、修械場」等單位合併成立「海軍戰鬥系統工廠」迄今。
Naval Combat System Facility
The predecessor of Naval Combat System Facility was the ordnance systems center of Naval 1st Shipyard. The ordnance systems center was responsible for the maintenance and reparation of all the traditional weapons of navy. Wu-Jin division of engineering was later established for the implementation of projects such as Jing-Juang and Sea Chaparral, etc. and for the engineering planning of Wu-Jin #1 and Wu-Jin #2 projects so that all the professionals could be integrated to carry out tasks of the projects. The Wu-Jin division of engineering was reorganized to found Naval Missiles Facility in accordance with the naval order on August, 1980. In 1983, the ordnance systems center including its subsidiary working shops was incorporated into Naval Missiles Facility as a whole. In the mean time, the rank of the commanding officer was promoted to that of a rear admiral and Naval Missiles Facility had accomplished the integration of the maintenance and reparation for major ordnance equipment of navy. In 1984, Naval Missiles Facility was renamed as Naval Weapon System Facility. The Electronic Center of Naval 1st Shipyard as well as the electronic and mechanical working shops of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Shipyard had been incorporated into Naval Weapon System Facility to give rise to Naval Combat system Facility for the fulfillment of personnel cut-down policy since July 1st, 1999 up to now.
