Lieutenant General Hsu, Commander of the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Development Command, recently visited the Marine Corps Recruit Training Center to conduct an inaugural inspection. In addition to receiving a mission briefing, he provided guidance on personnel recruitment, education and training efforts, and wartime and peacetime missions. He emphasized that safety is the foremost priority in unit training and encouraged cadre members to ensure proper care of service members’ daily lives, remain dedicated to their core training responsibilities, and enhance the unit’s overall combat capability.
Commander Hsu noted that the Marine Corps Recruit Training Center serves as the starting point for conscripts transitioning from civilian to military life. Every cadre member plays a vital and indispensable role. He stressed that they should uphold enthusiasm, devote their utmost efforts, and apply their strengths while instructing and caring for subordinates with patience, attentiveness, and compassion.
In addition, he highlighted that personnel recruitment is currently a key priority. All members are encouraged to adopt the mindset that “everyone is a recruiter,” thereby improving recruitment effectiveness and strengthening the Navy’s overall manpower growth.
Finally, Commander Hsu commended all officers and enlisted personnel for their hard work. He expressed his expectation that the unit will continue to embody the Marine Corps spirit, successfully accomplish all assigned missions, and he extended his early wishes for a happy Lunar New Year.
