Lieutenant General Hsu, Commander of the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Development Command, recently visited the Navy Recruit Training Center to conduct an inaugural inspection. During the visit, he expressed concern for frontline training conditions and the overall development of the camp.
The itinerary began with introductions of key personnel and a mission briefing, outlining the Recruit Training Center’s vital role within the Navy’s personnel development system, as well as its current training priorities and achievements.
Lieutenant General Hsu commended the unit’s dedication to foundational recruit education and training, discipline cultivation, and combat capability development. He encouraged all cadre members to continue refining training content, fully implement training responsibilities, and ensure that every service member grows and thrives on a solid foundation.
Following the briefing, Lieutenant General Hsu inspected ongoing construction projects and recruit classroom facilities within the camp. He gained a detailed understanding of construction progress, facility planning, and practical usage conditions. He also provided guidance regarding the upcoming Provincial Highway 17 section project, camp space utilization, and safety management.
Lieutenant General Hsu emphasized that well-developed training facilities and a sound instructional environment form the essential foundation for enhancing training quality. He encouraged the unit to continue improving infrastructure in order to provide recruits with a safe, effective, and operationally relevant training environment.
The inspection concluded successfully. Lieutenant General Hsu expressed appreciation to all personnel for their dedicated efforts in education and training. He remarked that the Recruit Training Center is “the cradle of the Navy,” serving as the source of high-quality personnel for naval forces, and encouraged all members to work together to strengthen the Navy’s overall combat capability foundation.
