To deepen All-Out Defense Education and broaden students’ professional horizons, Rear Admiral Liu, Superintendent of the Republic of China Naval Academy, recently led faculty members and cadets from the Department of Marine Mechanical Engineering to the National Science and Technology Museum to attend the opening ceremony of the “Where Ships Are Headed — Exploring Ships, Yachts, and Marine Technology” science exhibition, held in conjunction with the Ship and Ocean Industries R&D Center’s 50th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition.
The exhibition brought together highlights of Taiwan’s shipbuilding engineering and advanced yacht technologies. During the visit, faculty members and cadets gained a deeper understanding of the development of Taiwan’s shipbuilding industry and the latest technological applications through interactive exhibits and professional briefings. The visit provided not only a valuable extracurricular learning opportunity, but also a meaningful connection between classroom theory and practical industry applications, laying a solid foundation for the cadets’ future contributions to naval development and national defense self-reliance.
The Republic of China Naval Academy will continue to cultivate outstanding officers equipped with both broad-based knowledge and professional expertise, strengthening the foundation for safeguarding national security.
