Lieutenant General Hsu, Commander of the Naval Education, Training, and Doctrine Development Command, recently visited the Marine Corps Specialty Training Center to inspect unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) education and training. In addition to receiving a mission briefing from the unit, he provided guidance on key areas including curriculum planning, instructor development, and the procurement of teaching equipment. He also visited training sites to personally examine various instructional materials on display and the operation of training facilities.
Commander Hsu stated that education and training constitute a vital foundation for military building and combat readiness. He emphasized the continued importance of developing qualified instructors and obtaining professional certifications, making effective use of valuable resources to improve teaching quality, expand training capacity, and maintain equipment in proper working condition to ensure training aligns with operational requirements.
He further encouraged officers and enlisted personnel not only to enhance their professional UAV skills, but also to strengthen logistics maintenance and hands-on operational capabilities, thereby reinforcing the military’s asymmetric warfare capabilities and laying a solid foundation for the Navy’s overall defensive operations.
