K-9 Units Conducted A Surprise Drug Inspection At The Base.

Naval Keelung Logistics Support Command Conducts Surprise Drug Search with K-9 Units to Ensure Unit Integrity

To implement drug prevention policies and maintain the purity of the armed forces, the Naval Keelung Logistics Support Command recently collaborated with the Keelung Military Police Squad to conduct a surprise inspection. Two drug-detecting dogs were deployed to search personnel quarters in areas such as the Juren Camp. The operation aimed to fortify anti-drug measures and strictly prevent illegal substances from entering the military base.

The Commander, Colonel Pu, emphasized that anti-drug efforts are the collective responsibility of all personnel. He noted that drug abuse not only harms individual health but can also lead to criminal incidents, severely undermining the unit's combat readiness. By utilizing K-9 units, routine security checks, and urinalysis, the unit strives to deepen personnel’s understanding of drug prevention and ensure the overall strength of the national defense forces.
