According to Military Curtailing Organization Policy in July 1st, 1999, Naval 3rd Military Region Command and Naval 3rd Shipyard were merged into Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command, which is subordinate to Naval Logistic Command. The Car Unit and Habor Office Unit under Naval 3rd Military Region Command were renamed as Keelung Car Unit and Keelung Harbor Office Unit, individually. And Duck No.5 under Naval 3rd Shipyard also operates under Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command. Then, Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command was expand by setting up Keelung Engineering Unit and by taking over Tungyin Base Command and Matsu Base Command in March 16th, 2000. In October 1st, 2005, Naval Fleet Command took over Tungyin Base Command and Matsu Base Command. After the dissolution of Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command, it operated under Navy Command Headquarters, MND. With the establishment of Naval Maintenance and Repair Command, Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command has transformed to be subordinate to Naval Maintenance adn Reapir Command.
Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command is responsible for base defense operations, safety defense command, and control mission in Keelung Harbor Garrison area. Naval Keelung Logistic Support Command's mission in peacetime is in charge of ship maintenance, repair capacity development, logistics support to the north area,outlying islands such as Tungyin, Matsu and onshore units. Moreover, we provide military budgeting and accounting service, munitions management such as delivery, warehousing, transportation and supplying. In addition, we also play a critical role in disaster relief at the responsible area.

The emblem of Naval Keelung Logistics Support Command consists of sea anchor, gear and rice as one, representing the spirit of ship maintenance tasks, fleet logistical support and solid fighting power. The sea anchor means Navy. The gear stands for the main mission of logistics staff to support warships maintenance and to accomplish the high availability of ship. The lateral rice shows the behavior of materials supplements. Overall, it indicates the cooperation between maintenance factory and fleet staffs, the combing of maintenance and repair tasks and all the responsible area logistical support missions.
