Denotation:

The Anchor symbolizes that Marines are part of Navy. It also means that Marines are united as one and standing tall and will not fall.
The Globe symbolizes the projection of military force; the earth mainly consists of water, with water comes the ocean, with ocean comes the Navy, and with Navy comes the sea superiority.
