To promote the concept of mantal health and the initiative of “Love Yourself, Support Your Comrades,” the Navy Zuoying Logistics Support Command recently held a Mental Health Seminar hosted by Commander Major General Wu. The event aimed to help service members develop positive stress-relief methods and strengthen mutual support. Mr. Huang Hsin-Kai, a counselor from the Armed Forces Mental Health Program, was invited to share his personal experiences and deliver an engaging presentation that combined interactive magic performances. Through vivid storytelling, he illustrated ways to face pressure and challenges with a positive mindset. During the lecture, he also cited the story of the “Remnant Chinese Soldiers in Northern Thailand,” encouraging service members to approach military life and personal challenges with optimism, and to discover the value and meaning of growth in life.
Commander Wu encouraged the service members, noting that Mr. Huang, when facing setbacks in his career and personal life, was able to bravely shift his mindset and confront difficulties with a positive attitude. Moreover, he used his talent in magic to bring joy to the descendants of the remnant soldiers in Northern Thailand and devoted himself wholeheartedly to public service - an example worthy of admiration and emulation. The lecture concluded on a high note as Mr. Huang conjured paper flowers out of thin air, leaving the audience deeply impressed. Service members expressed that they had gained valuable insights from the session, which received enthusiastic responses.
