Our school and National Cheng Kung University signed a memorandum of academic exchange and research cooperation on March 8th. The signing ceremony at National Cheng Kung University was attended by the Superintendent of R.O.C. Naval Academy Chung-Shing Lin, relevant administrators and teachers, and National Cheng Kung University's principal Professor Huey-Jen Su.
In a speech, President Su of National Cheng Kung emphasized the school's special relationship with R.O.C. Naval Academy. President Hsia Han-Min, who graduated from the 43rd Class of the Naval Academy, was the eighth president of National Cheng Kung University from 1980-1988. President Hsia had a profound impact on the 90-year history of National Cheng Kung University. President Hsia was in charge of planning school affairs, and a university medical school and affiliated hospital opened during his tenure. This expanded an important field at National Cheng Kung University, cemented its status as a comprehensive university, and had a profound impact on the school's later development.
Superintendent of R.O.C. Naval Academy stated that in the future, the two universities will work together to promote academic exchanges. As partners, the two universities will learn and grow together, enhance each other's competitiveness, and achieve outstanding breakthroughs in military education and academic technology.
